- chicken- skinless boneless chicken breasts (sliced in half lengthwise) or chicken tenderloins can be used for this recipe

- paprika
- chili powder
- garlic powder
Once you have all your ingredients together, gather the equipment. All you will need is a cutting board, toothpicks and air fryer.
How to Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Chicken
First, preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees. Then, if using chicken breasts slice them in half lengthwise (remove any fat if necessary as well). In a small bowl, combine the spices and stir well to combine. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the chicken pieces.
Then, wrap the chicken tenderloins or chicken breast slices in raw bacon. It will take 2-3 slices per piece chicken. Use 3 toothpicks per slice to secure the bacon to the chicken so it doesn’t come off while cooking.
Sprinkle the remaining seasoning mixture over the bacon. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray to keep the bacon from sticking and place bacon wrapped chicken in the air fryer basket. Be sure to give space between each piece and do not stack them on top of each other. If necessary cook in more than one batch.

Cook in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes depending on the size of your chicken pieces. Check chicken with an internal thermometer and cook until it reaches at least 165 degrees.
Once cooked through remove chicken from air fryer. Be sure to remove toothpicks before serving.
Frequently Asked Questions
We used boneless skinless chicken breasts that we sliced in half lengthwise. Another option is to use chicken tenderloins. I would not recommend using chicken thighs because they will be harder to wrap in bacon.
That completely depends on the kind of chicken and what recipe you are making. Regardless of those points chicken should always be cooked until it reaches and internal temperature of 165 degrees to avoid any potential food poisoning.
For some recipes, yes. However with this recipe you will want to make sure to cook the chicken in a single layer. This will allow the chicken to cook faster and for the bacon to be crispy when the chicken is done cooking.
Yes, go ahead and bake this recipe instead. Be sure to follow the directions for preparation including using the toothpicks to secure the bacon and then bake at 375 degrees or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
