How to Make Air Fryer Cube Steak

This recipe could not be more simple! To start, set up the bowls for dredging the steak. In the first shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine well. Then, in a second bowl, combine the eggs with the water and whisk well.

Before you begin to coat your cube steaks, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees for at least 5 minutes. Once the air fryer is hot and the dredging station is set up, spray the inside of the air fryer basket with a non-stick cooking spray.

Next, dredge the steaks. First dip them in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture and again the in the flour mixture. This double coating of flour will help it stick better as well as giving the steak a crispy outside. Be sure to shake off any excess flour.

Dredge the steak and immediately place in the air fryer. Spray the top of the steak with cooking spray as well. Cook at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees. Be sure to flip the steak halfway through the cooking time.

When the proper temperature is reached and the coating is golden brown remove the steak from the air fryer and dredge another steak. Depending on the size of your cube steaks and air fryer you may be able to fry more than one at a time. If not, just cook them in batches.

A meat thermometer is your best friend when cooking meat! It keeps you from having to cut into them losing any good juices that are keeping the cuts of meat moist.
