Ingredients for Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings

This recipe for crispy air fryer wings calls for just a handful of simple ingredients. You can absolutely add your favorite wing sauces and dips after cooking.

How to Make Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. If your air fryer does not have a preheat setting turn it on to 400 degrees for about 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the baking powder and seasoning and stir well to evenly combine.
  3. Next, add in the chicken wings and toss in the baking powder mixture. If the chicken wings need it, pat off any excess moisture before adding to the baking powder mixure.
  4. Spray the inside of your air fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  5. Shake the excess baking powder off of the chicken wings and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook chicken wings at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
  7. Shake basket to turn chicken wings and then cook for another 10 minutes.
  8. Take the internal temperature of your chicken wings in the thickest part with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should reach a minimum of 165 degrees. If the wings have reached the correct temperature, remove from the air fryer and serve. If not, go ahead and return to the air fryer and recheck the temperature every few minutes until 165 degrees is reached.
  9. Serve the cooked wings as is or with your favorite sauce.

  • Serve these crispy chicken wings for dinner with a side of Oven Baked Zucchini Chips or Italian Pasta Salad.

  • 1/4 cup baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

Notes

The baking powder mixture can be used for a second batch of wings right away but do not store it for a later use.

Give wings enough room to get crunchy on all sides. Do not stack wings too high or too close in the air fryer.

I made the air fryer chicken wings and they were TERRIBLE!!! They didn't brown all the way, they made a big mess of the air fryer, the white baking powder left unbrowned left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. I would not feed these to my dog!
