How to Make Bacon and Cheese Loaded Mashed Potatoes
First, wash and peel the potatoes. (Leave the peels on if you prefer.) Next, chop up the potatoes and add to a large pot of water. Place on the stove and bring water to a boil. Simmer potatoes until they are easy to pierce with a fork.
Then, drain them and return them to the pot. Add all of the remaining ingredients and mash until your preferred texture.
This recipe will make a batch large enough for 6-8 people or to have lots for leftovers! Feel free to add more cheese, bacon and sour cream when you serve them. Enjoy!

Bacon and Cheese Loaded Mashed Potatoes
These Bacon and Cheese Loaded Mashed Potatoes make a delicious side dish for any meal!
Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs potatoes, chopped
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and peel potatoes.
- Chop potatoes and add to large pot with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender and easily pierced with a fork.
- Drain potatoes and return to pot.
- Add remaining ingredients and mash with a potato masher or fork until desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve and enjoy! Add extra bacon, cheese and sour cream to serve if desired.
Notes
A stand mixer can be used to mash and mix the potatoes as well.
