We’re in Connecticut visiting with family for this week between Christmas and New Years and the kids have gotten lots of goodies from the Curious Chef line for Christmas! One of the sets they got is this awesome 16-piece Cupcake and Decorating Kit so of course we had to make cupcakes right away!
I was very impressed with how easy the products were to use. We have been testing out of some of their line for a while now so there will be more recommendations coming for those of you who want to teach your kids to cook and let them help you in the kitchen.
Henry decided we should have chocolate cupcakes so I looked around since I don’t have my recipes with me and found this recipe for Chocolate Cupcakes from Scratch and whipped up a half batch. They are delicious! They are almost like a dark chocolate cupcake… not too sweet and nice and moist!
Then, we whipped up a batch of my Buttercream Frosting (recipe below) and got to work decorating! The kids enjoyed eating while decorating and their cousin got to join in the fun!
