Ingredients for Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast

This recipe only calls for 5 ingredients (plus syrup for topping) and it only takes an extra two minutes to make compared to regular french toast. For this recipe you will need:

  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
  • Sliced Bread
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Butter

How to Make Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast

To start, place the cereal in a plastic bag or bowl and crush it up leaving some bigger pieces. Then, transfer crushed cereal into a small bowl if you used a bag. Next, in another small bowl, combine the milk and eggs. Whisk together well to combine.

Then, heat a skillet over medium heat. Once warm add half of the butter and let melt. Then, dip 3 slices of bread into the milk and egg mixture being sure to coat both sides. Then, dip into the crushed cereal on both sides.

Place coated bread onto heated skillet. Cook until lightly golden brown on each side, about 2 minutes per side. Set cooked french toast aside and cook the next 3 pieces in the same way.

Once french toast is cooked, top with butter and maple syrup and serve immediately.

What kind of bread should I use for french toast?

You can use any bread that you have on hand! Your favorite sandwich bread or even buy a loaf of bakery bread and slice it up yourself for french toast. I love to use bread that is getting stale so that it doesn’t end up being wasted.

Don’t I need cinnamon to make french toast?

Normally I would say yes however for this recipe since we are using cinnamon toast crunch cereal the additional cinnamon isn’t needed.
