This Lazy Lasagna Recipe {made with frozen ravioli} is a delicious and easy meal to make during the week. It is loaded with pasta, sauce, meat and cheese just like a traditional lasagna… only with much less fuss!

Ingredients for Lazy Ravioli Lasagna
Not only is this recipe easy to make but it requires such simple ingredients. You will need:
- Ground sausage (ground beef, turkey, or chicken work as well)
- Chopped garlic
- Jar of pasta sauce (your favorite brand)
- Frozen ravioli
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
See the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the recipe and directions.
How to Make Lazy Ravioli Lasagna
To start, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and spray the 9 x 13 inch dish with non-stick spray. Next, in a large skillet over medium heat cook the sausage until browned breaking it up as it cooks. Then, once the sausage is completely cooked add the chopped garlic and cook for 2-3 more minutes. Next, remove from the heat and stir in your jar of sauce.
Add a third of the sauce mixture to the bottom of the casserole dish. Top with half of the frozen raviolis. Be sure to spread the ravioli around the dish to make as even of a layer as possible. Then, top frozen raviolis with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Next, add another third the sauce and spread it around as best you can. This dish will not give you the same kind of layers as traditional lasagna because of the different pasta used. Then, add the remaining half of frozen raviolis.
Top with remaining sauce and cheese. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for 1 hour. Then, remove foil and broil for about 3-5 minutes to melt and brown the cheese on top of the lasagna. Let lasagna sit for 10-15 minutes after removing from the oven before slicing.
Serve Lazy Lasagna with rolls and salad for a delicious and easy meal!

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Assemble and bake it then let it cool before storing in the refrigerator. This lasagna will be good in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Just cut, reheat and eat when ready.
Absolutely! Go ahead and skip the meat all together and if desired add some stir fried vegetables to the sauce. Shredded zucchini, mushrooms and eggplant would all make for delicious additions.
I have not tried this recipe with fresh ravioli, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. I would adjust the cooking time and not cook for as long, start with 30 minutes and check the temperature with a thermometer to see if the ravioli are heated well all the way through.
