- pasta, any shape
- Italian ground sausage
- fresh garlic
- fresh broccoli florets or 1 bag of frozen broccoli florets
- olive oil
- Parmesan cheese, optional
- fresh ground black pepper

How to Make Pasta with Italian Sausage and Broccoli
This easy pasta recipe will be ready in about 30 minutes! To start, chop broccoli florets into small bite-sized pieces and set aside. Then, bring a large pot of salted water to boil on the stove. Once water boils, add the pasta and cook pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain pasta and add two tablespoons of olive oil. Stir to coat pasta.
While the pasta is cooking, in a large skillet, heat two tablespoons of the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground sausage and break it up into smaller pieces. Cook the sausage until browned. Once the sausage is browned, add garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes before removing from the heat.
If using regular broccoli, place broccoli in a bowl and cover with water. Cook in the microwave in 2 minute intervals until broccoli is tender. If using frozen broccoli cook according to package directions. Set cooked broccoli aside until pasta and sausage are ready.
?Finally, after the pasta, sausage and broccoli are cooked combine everything in the large pot with the pasta. Stir to combine well and serve with parmesan cheese and ground black pepper.
